Transforming communities from the inside out

Development Of Humber Region Underway

Whilst the communities north and south of the river Humber are not as densely populous as other urban areas in which Eden is established there are some pockets of severe poverty and deprivation. Therefore, in autumn 2010, following a preliminary consultation with leaders from the region, we began making tentative steps towards extending the Eden Network in this direction.

Early in 2011 we took on a Regional Director and began discussions with potential local partner churches. So far the most significant open door for Eden has been presented in East Hull around the area of the new Archbishop Sentamu high school site on Preston Rd. We are pleased to announce that the church partner for this new venture will be St Aidan’s Church, which is led by Rev. Mick Fryer.

Early conversations are also taking place south of the river with a view to potentially planting Eden teams in Grimsby and Immingham.
