Speaker Bio’s
Dave Ferguson, is the founding pastor of Community Christian Church, a multi-site missional community that is passionate about helping people find their way back to God. This church has grown to thousands at thirteen locations throughout Chicagoland and has been recognized as one of the most influential churches in America. Dave provides visionary leadership for NewThing, a catalyst for a global movement of reproducing networks and churches. He is the President of Exponential, the largest church planting conference in the United States. Dave is also a co-founder of the Institute for Community who partner with real estate developers to “help people build quality relationship where they live and work through the power of genuine community”. He is the author of The Big Idea, Exponential and On The Verge.
Andy Hawthorne, is the founder and Chief Executive of The Message Trust, the organisation from which the Eden Network was born in 1997. He is known as a passionate preaching evangelist and a serial Kingdom entrepreneur responsible for the launch of numerous initiatives both in his home city of Manchester and also nationally. Andy is the author of several books including Diary of a Dangerous Vision, The Smile of God and Hope Unleashed. Andy was awarded the OBE in 2010 for his work as a tireless champion of young people.
Nims Obunge, is the founder and Chief Executive of the Peace Alliance. With a family heritage in Nigeria Nims spent time living in many countries as a child before his family finally settled long-term in London. Nims is also the senior pastor of Freedom’s Ark, Tottenham. Nims was awarded the OBE in 2008 for his work to bring peace and reconciliation to gang-torn neighbourhoods.
Patrick Regan, is the founder and Chief Executive of XLP, a charity that for the past 15 years has been working with families and young people in inner-city London. God has led him to over 30 countries, supporting poorer communities and speaking in many diverse places, including Jamaica’s Trenchtown to events at the House of Commons. Patrick has written 3 books, Conspiracy of the Insignificant, Fighting Chance and No Ceiling to Hope (soon to be released). Patrick lives with his wife and 3 children in South East London.

The Rend Collective Experiment started in 2004 as a group of confused twenty-somethings started trying to figure out life, God and community. Then in 2007 it grew into a collective of musicians and artists trying to share with the world what they were learning. At home in Ireland Rend have about 15 members in their collective but as a touring band they number about 6.
Proximity 2012 will be structured to combine keynote addresses with thematic breakout streams.
